Local High School Student Receives Scholarship

Congratulations to Justice Harvieux who was selected as the winner of the New Richmond Utilitiesí Public Power Scholarship.

The $500 Public Power Scholarship is presented to a high school senior who plans to attend a two-year technical college or a four-year university. The scholarship program is designed to promote awareness of New Richmondís community-owned utility, increase awareness of the value of public power, and to inform customers about the benefits of their community-owned municipal utility.

To be eligible, students or their parents or guardians must be customers of New Richmond Utilities. The award was presented at the New Richmond High School awards ceremony on May 27.

Justice is the son of Jerry and Laurie Harvieux. He is planning to attend the University of Minnesota to study Science and Engineering.
